Gas and electricity can be used for heating your home though you need to know the facts about gas and electric heating system. Consider the right size that you need depending on the size of the room. There are different types of heating systems such as natural gas furnace, air-to air heat pump, and geothermal heat pump. A gas furnace reduces with the number of uses it serves. It operates at about 80 percent efficiency. It generates heat from the gas.
However the one that has 90 percent efficiency is better since it uses less gas and produces more heat. Air-to air heat pump uses electricity instead of gas. When it is properly installed it operates at 250 percent efficiency. The electric heating system does not create heat but moves heat from one location to the other. The geothermal heat system operates at 400 percent energy efficiency. It provides more heat efficiency and uses less fuel.
