Crafts with seashells

Seashells convey a relaxed but lively ambience on the seaside. If collection of seashells is your hobby, then it can keep you busy even after your holidays. For starters, seashells can be displayed in attractive containers (hurricane lamps are a good idea) on any free counter or table. Improvise the display y painting the seashells in hues of gold or silver. For more elaborate displays accentuate photo frames, lampshades, ad table linen with tiny seashells. Tassels of tiny shells can be sewed onto the ends of cushion covers and pillow cases. Flat, big mother of pearl shells are used to create stunning chandeliers. A DIY which can be easily done at home, it involves stringing the shells with a combination of glass beads onto a circular acrylic board. Suspend an electric lamp in between the shells and watch the chandelier glow. You can also rig out a seashell tabletop fountain with a couple of big conch shells, a water pump, and a ceramic container.
