Steps to Build Fire in Your Fireplace
Many people like building fire in the fireplace in order to make the evening very romantic. In order to build such a fire, there should be ash in the fireplace. You also need a source of energy, most probably dry logs of wood. You should also have some crumpled papers, most preferably newspapers. Kindling sticks and fireplace matches are also needed.
First, open the flue. A flue is a lever which is used for opening and closing the damper. Put the ash on the floor of the fireplace then put the largest log right at the back, next to the fireplace’s bricks. The crumpled papers should be placed at the front of this log.
The other log, the fore log, should be positioned in front of these papers. A small log should then be used to link these two large logs. Then light the kindling sticks together with the crumpled papers using the matchbox.
